Leadville, Colorado & Southern RR trip
The club trip will be on Saturday May 31. The trip will cost $28.50 per adult & $16.50 for children (4-12). As with all club trips get your money to the Paymaster as soon as possible so we can reserve the seats. If we have time we may take a short run over to Camp Hale. The train ride is at 1 pm so we have time to do some touring along the way. We will set the time for departure at the May business meeting.
Clinics
The club has started clinics after the business meetings. So far we have covered the basics of ballasting and basic scenery. Several members have had hands on practice of adding ballast to the club layout. If you have not done this and are interested in doing so show up on a Tuesday or Friday night as the yards are in the process of being ballasted.
For those wanting hands on basic scenery come to the club on Tuesday or Friday nights. Mike will be there to assist anyone on the use of Hydrocal, then the making and use of rock molds. When we have enough Hydrocal in place we’ll cover painting. You may wish to call Mike to let him know you will be there so he can bring the materials to be used.
3rd Annual Historic Georgetown Railroad & Mining Days
The club will be attending the show. We have 7 people signed up to go. As of this writing we have not found out when setup is and the lodging. We’ll let you know as soon as we find out
Anderson Power-Pole Connectors
The Anderson Power-Poles are in. The club is selling them to members for $1.00 a set. S set consists of one black & one red plastic housing with two pins and two roll pins. We can assist you with the quantity you’ll need for you layouts or modules.
Railhead
As you have seen the Railhead has changed. I’m in the process of learning Windows Vista so bare with me. So far I have found that I can’t use some of my files from my old computer so I have to do everything from scratch and it is taking me some time as it is all new.
